Registration Information

Duathletes must be at least 14 years of age on race day. Duathlon participants must have a USA Triathlon annual membership or purchase a one-day memebership at online registration.

Elite Division Option

Athletes will compete in their age group division or the Elite division. Athletes who wish to compete in the Elite division must register for this category at online registration.

This division is meant solely for those athletes who want to race against the whole field and not in their respective age groups.

The following guidelines are to be used for consideration of the Elite division:

If athlete is registered as professional duathlete or triathlete through USA Triathlon.
If athlete typically places 10th place or higher overall at duathlon or triathlon competitions
Men who will complete course in 2:00.00 or less
Women who will complete the course in 2:12.00 or less

* Athletes who compete in this division will not be eligible for age group awards.

Relays

Relays are two participants only. Only one relay participant will be "in" the race at any given time. Participants will exchange timing chip in transition zone. Teams may divide their race as follows:

Athlete A: RUN
Athlete B: BIKE & RUN
or
Athlete A: RUN
Athlete B: BIKE
Athlete A: RUN
or
Athlete A: RUN & BIKE
Athlete B: RUN

Duathlon Registration Fees:

Individual
$75.00 – thru December 31, 2012
$85.00 – thru April 30, 2013
$95.00 – thru July 9, 2013

Relay (Two (2) participants per team, can be coed or same gender)
$115.00 – thru December 31, 2012
$125.00 – thru April 30, 2013
$135.00 – thru July 9, 2013

*All participants must poses a annual USAT Membership or purchase a one-day license at online registration ($12.00).

All participants will be required to possess a current USAT membership or purchase a one-day membership.
All USAT rules apply to the 2012 Maryland Olympic Duathlon.
